Hattie Lee Elliott was born Hattie Lee Garriott on November 11, 1911 in Healing Springs, Arkansas. Hattie moved to California during the great depression and has been a resident of the Ceres area for some 70 years. Hattie is preceded in death by three of her children and her husband Burrel Elliott. Hattie leaves behind four children, Shirley Smith of Ceres, Betty Johnson (Paul) of Bellingham, WA, Faye Connor (Gene) of Highlands Ranch, CO, and Jerry Elliott (Sheri) of Las Cruces, NM. Hattie also leaves behind a sister, Willard Spillman, 13 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren, 14 great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews as well as many life long friends. Hattie was a member of Valley Christian Center in Ceres for more than 50 years. Hattie was a prayer warrior and was the leader of the prayer hotline for over 20 years. She loved to visit with her friends and family and all who came in contact with her loved her like they had known her forever and like she was part of their family. Hattie has gone to be with her LORD and Savior Jesus Christ and forever will be in his presence. Hattie will be missed greatly but we can all take joy in knowing she is with her Lord and Savior and that those who have known her have that hope that we will all be with her on that wonderful day when it is our turn to transition to our eternal home. There will be a celebration of Hattie Elliott at Valley Christian Center, located at 2745 N 2nd Street, Ceres, CA at 1:30 pm on Friday, March 20, 2009. Graveside service to follow.
