STEWART Carl Horace Stewart, 62, Modesto, was dead on arrival in a local hospital yesterday after a long illness. Stewart, born in Hartford City, Ind., lived in Modesto for four months. He was a laundry manager. He came here fro the Los Angeles area. He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Chicago. He leaves his widow, Opal M. Stewart of Modesto; one son, Jack Stewart of Norwalk, Los Angeles County; one sister, Bonnie Gamboni of Modesto, and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be held in the Utter McKinley Mortuary in Huntington Park, Los Angeles County. The Franklin & Downs Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangments. Transcribed by Judy Ewbank
