I always thought that after my gg grandfather died, that his wife, Ida Lee, went back to Texas, but I recently checked the CA Death Index and there she was! Her name was: Ida Lee Hedges Brown b. 6 Oct. 1863 KY. d. 17 Feb. 1949 Stanislaus Co. CA. I believe she was a resident of Modesto. She was my gg grandfather James Brown's, 2nd wife.
