Joshua MARTIN and Jane AULTON MARTIN were the parents of Benjamin Franklin MARTIN (who settled in Amador County) and Pressly (or Presley) MARTIN, who served in the Nevada Cavalry 1863-1866 and later migrated to Colorado. Joshua MARTIN is listed in Stanislaus County in the 1870 census. He died in February 1876 in California.
