PETERS Rhoda Catherine Peters, 74, died yesterday after an extended illness. A native of Texas, she had lived in Modesto 14 years and in California 24 years. She was a member of the Church of Christ. Mrs. Peters leaves her husband, Jesse; children, Clyde Peters of San Jose, Herman Peters of Escalon, San Joaquin County, Violet Hutchens of Modesto, Nellie Smith of Tulare, Tulare County, Laura Atchison and Wanda Dodson, both of Stockton; brothers and sisters, Margaret Duncan of Wichita Falls, Tex., Vera Whittacker of Hill Top, Ark., Lillie Phillips of Dexter, NM, Jess Duncan of Jacksboro, Tex., and Benton Duncan of Shannon, Tex; 20 grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Services will be held Friday at 2 PM in the Salas Brothers-Moore Funeral Chapel. Sherman Cannon will officiate. Interment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. Transcribed by Judy Ewbank
