Norton A private funeral service for John Alvin Norton, 71, formerly a resident of Salida, will be at 3:30 p.m. tomorrow, in the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home. Inurnment will be in Lakewood Memorial Park. A native of Utah, Norton died in a local hospital Friday after a short illness. Norton was a retired Modesto State Hospital employee. He was the husband of Mary Norton of Salida. Other survivors include a son, John M. Norton and three brothers and sisters Hallie Norton, Jennie Briant and Zella Barnes, all of Salida.
