SPIER July 28, 1913 - March 13, 1996 John B. Spier, 82, of Oakdale died Wednesday at Stanislaus Medical Center, Modesto. Mr. Spier was a native of Lindsay, Okla. He lived in Oakdale 54 years. He was a maintenance worker for the city of Oakdale road division. He was a member of the Pentecostal Church. He is survived by his children, Danny Lynn Spier of Oakdale, John R. Spier of Turlock and Billie Ruth Smith of Milpitas; and 10 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. A funeral will be held at 1 p.m. Monday at Lakewood Funeral Home, Hughson. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from noon to 5 p.m. Sunday and from 9 a.m. to noon Monday at the funeral home. Transcribed by Judy Ewbank
