He died Saturday at his home. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Brummel of Turlock. Turlock Journal, Page A2 Tuesday, 15 Jun 1999 Graveside services for Joseph Boniface Brummel, 78, of Turlock are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella. Visitation is 2 to 9 p.m. Wednesday and 8 to 11 a.m. Thursday at Allen Mortuary. Mr. Brummel was born in Chicago, Ill. He died Saturday at his home. He was raised in Illinois and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Mr. Brummel moved to California in 1949 and lived in Hilmar and Denair before moving to Turlock in 1969. He was a supervisor and mechanic at Tri-Valley Growers. Survivors include his wife, Marjorie Ellen Brummel of Turlock; five sons, Bill Brummel and Henry Brummel, both of Turlock, Eric Brummel and Mike Brummel, both of Delhi, and Joe H. Brummel of Washington; three daughters, Katherine Brummel of Denair, Patsy Brummel of Modesto and Harlane Rollins of Missouri; three stepsons, Larry Silva of Madera, Jim Silva of Hughson and Ruben Silva of Omaha, Neb.; one brother, John Brummel of Morris, Ill.; one sister, Katherine Peake of Wanatah, Ind.; 25 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
