A rosary will be said at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Allen Mortuary. Visitation is 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday at Allen Mortuary. Mr. Tobin was born in Newport, R.I. He died Saturday in his home. Mr. Tobin moved to Turlock in 1948. He worked for Richard and Chambers. He led Tobin's Trio Dance Band for many years as a saxophonist before opening Tobin's Business Machine Repair which he operated until his retirement. He was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Turlock Senior Citizens, and Jim Ingram's big band in Turlock. Survivors include his wife, Frances Tobin of Turlock; a son, John Tobin of Denair; four daughters, Pat Smith, Katherin Daubenberger, and Dorothy Sward, all of Turlock, and Sylvia Bergman of Ripon; three sisters, Selina Winters of Modesto; Theresa Irelan of Turlock and Eileen Ferguson of Italy; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Family requests memorial contributions go to Hospice of Emanuel Medical Center, Turlock. Transcribed by Pat Andrews
