David Azevedo son of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Azevedo, died early Saturday morning in a Turlock hospital. Second and third degree burns covered the boy's body after the explosion in the garage of his home southwest of Turlock. A native of Modesto, the boy moved here five years ago. He attended the third grade at Hilmar Grammar school. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic church, Stevinson, but received communion at Sacred Heart church, Turlock, two weeks ago. The boy leaves his parents, a twin brother, Daniel Azevedo, and a sister, Barbara Azevedo, all of Turlock. Also surviving are his grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. M. A. Azevedo, Patterson, and Mr. and Mrs. A. F. Damas, Hughson. Rosary services will be recited at the Hale Funeral chapel, Turlock, at 8:30 p.m. Monday. A requiem mass will be celebrated in the Sacred Heart church at 10 a.m. Tuesday, with the Rev. Father John J. Higgins officiating. Interment will be in Turlock cemetery.
