Turner--A graveside service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday at Turlock Memorial Park for Horace Carman Turner, 90, of Turlock, who died Friday at a local hospital. Visitation is at Allen Mortuary until 9 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. today, from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday and 8 to 10a.m. Wednesday. A native of Los Angeles, he had lived in Turlock since 1903. He was a dairy farmer for many years. He attended Mt. View Elementary School and Turlock High School. He was a longtime member of the Mt. View Volunteer Fire District and served on the Mt. View School Board. He also was a member of Mt. View Grange and the Farm Bureau. He helped build a ball park and a church in the community. He is survived by two sons, Lawrence of Turlock and Edward of Hewitt, Texas; four grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren.
