A native of Kentucky, he lived in Oklahoma before coming to California in 1923. He lived in Beaumont before coming to Delhi 10 years ago. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge of Shawnee, Oklahoma. He is survived by his widow, Hester Lee, of Delhi: four daughters, Eleanor Mills of Hermit, Ruth McAllister of Louisiana, Donna J. Nattles of Delhi, and Bonnie Bell Wilhite of Winton; five sons, Ervin T. Lewis of Long Beach, Alvin S. and Johnny D. Lewis both of Delhi, Lyman H. Lewis of Port Hueneme, and Billy K. Lewis of Turlock. Turlock Daily Journal Saturday, Sept. 1955 Turlock, California Don Lewis Funeral Services for Don Lewis, 65, of Delhi who died Wednesday, will be held Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the Browday Baptist Church with Rev. Burnett Whitaker officiating. Interment will be directed by Allen Mortuary in the Turlock Cemetery. A native of Kentucky, he was a deputy sheriff in Riverside and Merced County before retiring.
