Mr. Blomquist was a native of Chicago. He had lived in Turlock since 1933 and had lived in the area since 1912. He grew up on a small farm in the Irwin community and attended school in nearby Hilmar. He was a truck driver, delivering petroleum products to farmers. He worked for Goodrich Oil Co. and then Standard Oil of California. He also worked for the Grange Co. He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Blomquist of Turlock; children, Earl Blomquist of Trinity and Kenneth Blomquist of Turlock; stepchildren, Aaron Abbott of Livermore and Charlene Card of Kelseyville; and three grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Allen Mortuary.
