    2. Colleen and Listeners; I haven't borthered with the Stanislaus Board itself since it still does not recognize my password. My password should still be the same, in any event I attempted to re-submit. The message I get is this is not a valid email address. If anyone wants a DCT from me for Stanislaus County, Ca I have to see it on CADI or CASTANIS lists. I don't like these changes, I fail to see how they are for the better as your stating Colleen . Cathleen Stanislaus DCT's Volunteer In a message dated 7/14/01 4:50:01 PM Pacific Daylight T ime, norby@ainet.com writes: I'm very frustrated and I wondered if anyone else is.....I used to love to visit the various county query boards and offer help from CADI prior to CADI going on line; I also loved to offer my services for dcts on the Stanislaus board.....well, I personally hate the new message boards as they have been reconfigured; first, you have to logon and remembering another password and user name is a pain; I have a lousy phone line and I can't connect very fast (14400) and trying to post to the Stanislaus or San Joaquin board is very time consuming and unfriendly because I have to have pictures turned off to speed things up; another thing that is unfriendly is that your email address is disguised (and I understand the reason for that - so they can't be collected enmass with new sophisticated software) - if you post a response to the board to help someone, they can't respond to you directly unless you put your address in the text of your message; I'm afraid that many people asking for help are going to go unhelped, especially on the "unknown" county board which I administer - I'm not against change, I just think that those of us that administered the boards in the past should have had some input in how to change them for the better, not to protect a commercial setup like MyFamily.com - I guess I will be posting a standard message to the board telling them where they can find the CADI mailing list and how to ask for help with CA deaths - it's going to be much too frustrating to have them replying to the board and having to go on line to see their response each time......urrrrr just needed to vent - anyone else still using the boards as we were before for posting dcts or obits so they could be gatewayed to the county mailing lists......
