SWANSON Funeral rites will be conducted Friday for Mabel P. Swanson, 50 year Modesto resident who died in a local hospital yesterday after a long illness. She was 66. Rev. M. A. Odell will officiate at 2 PM from the Franklin & Downs Funeral Home. Committal will be in the family plot in the Modesto Cemetery. The native of Canada leaves her husband, Charles L. Swanson; two daughters, Irene E. Hopelain, Modesto, and Margaret Swanson, Sunnyvale, Santa Clara County; three sisters, Mrs. Myrtle McCarton, Modoc, Modoc County, Daisy Laughlin, Waterford and Carmen Turner of Turlock; one brother, Fletcher Turner, Turlock, and six grandchiildren.
