HEMENWAY Rollin H. Hemenway, 71, a psychiatric technician at the Modesto Sate Hospital for 10 years before it was closed, died yesterday in a local hospital following a long illness. A native of Wisconsin, he lived in the Ceres area 33 years and was a member of the Ceres First Church of Christ. He was a veteran of World War I and served both in the Army and Coast Guard. He was a member of the Modesto Post, Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors are his widow, Mae A. Hemenway; four daughters, Florence Livingston of Ceres, Marian Maines of Florida, Connie Cole of Lodi and Yvonne Skidgel of Colorado; a son, Gerald Hemenway of Modesto; a brother, Charles Hemenway of Wisconsin; 16 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Services are pending at the Ceres Funeral Home. Obituary from the Modesto Bee, Monday, February 8, 1993 MAE A . HEMENWAY Sept 17, 1900 - Feb. 6, 1993 Mae A. Hemenway, 92, of Ceres died Saturday at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto. Mrs. Hemenway was a native of Kansas and had lived in Ceres 56 years. She was a homemaker and a member of the Ceres Christian Church. She is survived by her children, Florence Livingston and Connie Cole, both of Ceres, Gerald Hemenway of Santa Rosa, Marion Maines of Florida and Yvonne Skidgel of Nebraska; brothers, Joseph Clothier of Modesto and Henry Clothier of Lemon Grove; sister, Bethine Wright of Nevada; 15 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren, and three great-great-grandchildren. A funeral service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Wednesdayh at the Ceres Chapel of Franklin & Downs. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday and after 9 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel.
