Clothier; dearly beloved husbnd of Hattie Clothier; father of Mrs. Mae Hemenway and Mrs. Bethine Wright of Ceres, Henry and Elwood Clothier of Vallejo, Joe Clothier of Alameda, Mrs. Lois Weston, Mrs. Opal Warsaw and Cecil Clothier of Los Angeles. Also survived by 28 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A native of Kansas, aged 83 years. Friends may call at the Franklin-Sovern & Cowns Funeral Home, Twelfth and G. Streets, where services will be conducted at a day and hour to be announced later. Funeral parking lot directly across from the funeral home. Obituary from the Modesto Bee, Wed., April 19, 1950 p 7 RESIDENT OF CERES FOR 14 YEARS Mrs. Hattie Clothier, 68, a resident of Ceres for the last 14 years, died at her home early today. Mrs. Clothier was born in Paris, Mo. She was an active member of the Ceres Church of Christ. Her husband, William L. Clothier, preceded her in death. She leaves eight children, Mrs. Mae Hemenway and Mrs. Bethine Wright, both of Ceres, Henry and Elwood Clothier, both of Vallejo, Joe Clothier of Alameda, Mrs. Lois Weston, Mrs. Opal Warsaw and Cecil Clothier, all of Los Angeles; seven sisters, one brother, 28 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
