CARPENTER OF MODESTO DIES Guy T. Carpenter, 57, a resident of Modesto for the past eighteen years, died in his home at 915 Fifteenth Street yesterday. Carpenter, a native of Iowa, had been engaged in the garage business. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. Besides a widow, Mrs. Zoe Carpenter of Modesto, he leaves two sons and a daughter, Charles C. Carpenter and G. R. Carpenter of Richmond and Esther Earl of Oakland, and a brother, S. E. Carpenter of Los Angeles. Funeral services will be held tomorrow afternoon at 3 o'clock in the Shannon Chapel with Rev. Arthur Wallace officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
