A native of Washington, Mrs. Ekkelboom, formerly of Monterey, had resided on Floyd Avenue near Nodesto for the past three years. She was the wife of Jacob R. Ekkelboom; mother of Marjorie Dean and Rudolph J. Ekkelboom, all of Modesto; daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Motzkus; sister of Agnes and Robert Motzkus, Bertha Howe, Dorothy Bomarito and Ada Tomasini, all of Monterey; Earl and Edward Motzkus, United States Army; Fred Wade, United States Navy and Clare Wade, Los Angeles. Final rites will be held Wednesday morning at 11 o'clock at the Shannon Chapel with Rev. C. Warren Van Camp officiating. Interment will be in the Odd Fellows Cemetery.
