October 28, 1952, p 13 JOHN SOARES, DAIRY RANCHER, SUCCUMBS Requiem mass will be offered for John Soares, 86, Paradise Road dairy rancher, in St. Stanislaus Church tomorrow at 10 AM Soares, community resident 40 years, died in a Modesto hospsital yesterday morning. He was a native of the Azores Islands. Services will begin at 9:30 AM at the Shannon Chapel. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock. Soares leaves a widow, Mrs. Mary Soares of Modesto; three sons, Jack Soares, Suisun, Tony Soares, Gridley, and Joe Soares, Modesto; three daughters, Mrs. Virginia Turpen and Lydia Avila of Modesto and Mrs. Marie Day of Oakland, and 22 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
