Born Aug. 9, 1916, in Ceres, he was 84. He had lived and farmed in the Davis area for many years and attended the First Baptist Church in Davis. At the time of death, he lived in Paynes Creek. He is survived by his daughter, Betty Resch, and his son, Steven Zane, both of Paynes Creek. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby, in 1998. He was also survived by seven grandchildren.
