Abril, 50-year-old Moffett road rancher, died at the wheel of his automobile yeaterday, presumably of a heart attack, shortly after he told a friend he was going home to lie down. Abril was rushed to Del Puerto hospital in Patterson, but was pronounced dead upon arrival. He was found in his car at 11:20 a. m. on Crows Landing road, 300 feet north of Erlich road. The car had run off the road and stalled against a small fence. Abril had been talking to a friend a short time before just a mile from where the car was found. He had complained he was not feeling well and had headed for home. A native of the Azores Islands, Abril had lived at his present address for the past five years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Abril, and two brothers, Frank Ferreira and Tony Dias, both of Modesto. Funeral services are pending at the Allen Mortuary.
