    2. This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. Surnames: Eddlemon Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZW.2ADI/53.54.55.56.62.1.1 Message Board Post: This is exciting to me, since I have found very few descendants of Michael Sides Eddleman. I have a TON of information on his line, because this is my family. I descend from William Hager Eddleman (GG-grandson), brother of Michael S. Michael S. Eddleman had a distinquished Mexican and Civil War service--and I have his Mexican War pension file. A basic outline of his life: son of Henry Edlemon and Mary (Hager) Eddleman, born in Lincoln Co., NC, came to Missouri when about age 6, to Cape Girardeau and then Perry Co. He m. Mary Conrad (daughter of Jacob Conrad and Selma Bollinger Conrad), was a merchant and farmer in Perry Co. There are many entries concerning the family in the A. L. Hager diary from Perry Co. In late 1868, he left with his family to settle in the Ft. Scott area of Kansas, but died shortly thereafter while the family was camped outside the Fort. He is buried in Lath Branch Cemetery just east of Fort Scott. Some of his sons later went to Calif., including Jacob ! H. One, William P., stayed in Nevada, MO. Mary Eddleman lived until 1917, apparently lived in both CA and MO, and is also buried at Lath Branch Cemetery. I have photos of their tombstone, and of men believed to be Charles and William P., thanks to a granddaughter of William P.'s who lives in Nevada, MO. I would be VERY eager to correspond with your friend. It is so hard to find anyone in this line--much less anyone who is interested in the family.
