I am looking for information about Samuel Jackson Nichols, I believe born around 1868, possibly in VA. He was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren church community around Modesto. Oral information passed down through family members say he died in Modesto on July 31, 1937 of an accident involving falling off a runaway hay wagon, and that he is buried in the Woodlawn cemetery. We believe he moved to CA around 1918 with his wife, named Maragaret Anna and children. Somewhere around 1926 his wife died of cancer. Samuel Nichols is my (elderly) father-in-law's grandfather and is someone whom he knows very little about - particulary Samuel Nichols parents. Any information someone has on Samuel Nichols would be greatly appreciated. Samuel Nichols daughter, Neosha Nichols Beachler, is my father-in-law's line that I am tracing. Linda Bryan-Beachler
