Rev. C. Eastman officiating. Interment was in the Turlock cemetery. The deceased was the husbnd of Fannie Conner. He was 76 years of age, a native of New york. He has lived in Turlock since 1914. Rice of Turlock Succumbs in Modesto Hospital Frederick William Rice, 65, a resident of Turlock for the last eleven years, died Thursday in a Modesto hospital as a result of being struck down by an automobile Sunday night while walking along the Golden State Highway near Ceres. Conald Olds, also of Turlock, was the driver of the car involved. Officers are investigating the accident. Rice was a native of Illinois. He leaves the following relatives; Two sons, Lloyd Walter Rice, Turlock and Orbie O. Rice, Fort Townsend, Wash.; a sister, Mrs. Ada Hardy, and a brother, Frank Rice, both of Iowa.
