Nystrom, 42, PPCC Branch Manger, Succumbs Harry F. NYSTROM, 4 years old manager of the Poultry Producers of Central California's Turlock branch, died this morning in a Modesto hospital following an extended illness. NYSTROM's health began failing in September of last year, but improved a month ago and there was hope for his recovery. But he took a turn for the worse last week. Active Civically NYSTROM, a native of Turlock who resided here his entire life, was extremely active in community interests and was perhaps best known for his tireless work in behalf of the now famous Far West Turkey show, Turlock's annual headline event. NYSTROM helped organize the show and served as president one year and as a director continuously until this year. He also was a past president and director of the Turlock Chamber of Commerce and in addition was a past president of both the Exchange and 20-30 clubs here. 22 Years Service NYSTROM was an employee of Poultry Producers for the past 22 years and acted as branch manager for a major portion of this time. He was a member of the Beulah Covenant church. He leaves his widow, Mrs. Ethel NYSTROM, and two sons, Gail Edwin and William Leland NYSTROM, all of Turlock; a sister, Mrs. Florence COLLINS, Carlton, Oreg.; three brothers, Carl W. NYSTROM, Oakland; Paul E. NYSTROM, Hyattsville, Md., and Arnold M. NYSTROM, Turlock. Funeral services are pending at the Norton mortuary.
