Is there anyone in the Modesto area who could look up a Homestead deed for me. I am not even sure of the year but would say between 1920-1924 approximately. This would be in the name of Felix Jimenez/Jiminez and wife Guadalupe "Lupe" and in Riverbank area. If this indeed can be found, would you be willing to find out the costs etc of copies. This is for my 6 children as the above named persons were their late grandparents. They know nothing of the grandparents except their names. The grandfather (Felix) had passed away in 1942 long before I ever met the family. We were very fortunate to have known the grandmother but she passed away in 1982. They evidently had come to California from Arizona, around 1920 or so, and before that we have been told they were originally from Old Mexico. This list has been the greatest as you have helped me with obituaries for their uncles etc. Any help anyone can give me will be gratefully appreciated. Thank you.
