MORRISON SADIE 12/17/1874 JESPERSEN COURTNEY F CALIFORNIA STANISLAUS 12/04/1940 65 yrs Modesto Bee And News-Herald, The | Modesto, California | Friday, December 06, 1940 | Page 10 Morrison Funeral Services Are Held Oakdale, Dec. 6 Last rites for Mrs. Sadie Morrison, 65, city treasurer and the oldest employee of the city in point of service, who died Wednesday night in her home on Third Avenue, were held this afteroon in the chapel of the Oakdale Undertaking Parlors. Mrs. Henry Rafter read a Christian Science service and interment followed in Citizens Cemetery. Mrs. Morrison was born in North San Juan, Nevada County, December 17, 1874 and came to Oakdale in 1882. She was married to George T. Morrison in 1894. Her husband was city marshal of Oakdale for many years prior to his detah in 1915. Since 1918 Mrs. Morrison had served the city as treasurer. She was a charter member of Oakdale Parlor No. 125, Native Daughters of the Golden West. Survivors are a son George T. Morrison of Oakdale, two grandsons, Edward and George Morrison Jr. and the following brothers and sisters: Mrs. Peter Linderman of Jamestown, A. J. Jones and George Courtney of Oakdale. H. B. Jones of Wcott, W. T. Jones and E. R. Jones of San Francisco and Mrs. F. A.
