Waring, 75, a resident of the Denair district for the past 23 years, passed away Thursday morning, January 12, at his home after an illness of five months. He was a native of Pennsylvania. After following the trade of architect and builder in that state, Mr. Waring came to California in 1910, locating at Denair, where he had since made his home. During the past several years he was instructor of manuel training at the Denair grammar school. He was an active member of the Denair Missionary Church for many years. There remain to mourn his passing, his widow, Mrs. Grace B. Waring of Denair; one daughter, Mrs. Elizabeth Switzer of Avis, Pennsylvania; three sons, William Waring of Denair; F. Robert Waring of Santa Barbara and Richard G. Waring of Modesto; two brothers, Ed. Waring of Pittsburg, Pa., and W. George Waring of Webb City, Missouri. Funeral services will take place from the Denair Missionary Church Saturday afternoon, January 14, at 2:00 with the pastor, Rev. H. H. Amstutz, officiating. Interment will be made in the Denair Cemetery, in charge of the Wm. A. O'Hara Funeral Home.
