He has been a resident here for some time, coming from Oakland, where he was a contractor and builder for 25 years. While engaged in this work he erected some of the largest buildings in that city. He was a charter member of the Twenty-Third Avenue Baptist church, one of the largest churches in Oakland, and was a member of Alpha Camp No. 101, W. O. W. His immediate relatives are his wife Margaret Eastman and his two sons, Alfred of the Shell Oil company, and Rev. C. R. Eastman, pastor of the First Baptist church of Turlock. Funeral services will be held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon from the Baptist church, under the auspices of the O'Hara undertaking company, with interment in the Turlock cemetery.
