Bergman, 82, who died Sunday in Los Gatos. A native of Sweden, she was a longtime resident of Patterson, moving here from Minnesota in 1923. She and her late husband, who worked for the Patterson Water District and then as a self employed carpenter here, moved from Patterson in 1957. She was a member of the Free Evangelical Church of Felton and a former member of the Evangelical Covenant Church of Patterson. The Rev. Arvid Carlson will officiate at the graveside service. The family has requested that memorial contributions be sent to the local Covenant Church. Survivors include two sons, Andrew Bergman of Wheton, Minn., and Orville Bergman of San Diego; four daughters, Audrine Wehinger, Elaine Kirk, and Buelah McKee, all of San Jose, and Mardelle Strickland of Modesto; 15 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
