A native of South Dakota, she moved to Oregon in 1938 before coming to Turlock in 1954. She was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her daughter, Edna Warner of Hayward; two sons, Ruben C. Wedel of Turlock and Oswald Wedel of Randell, Minn,; four sisters, Sara Rau of Turlock, Kate Franke of Oakdale, Gertrude Narragon and Olivia Griswold, both of Oregon; one brother, Abe Sperling of Hydsville, Calif.; eight grandchildren and two great-grand-children. Turlock Daily Journal Page A2 Monday, April 29, 1974 Turlock, California Wednesday Services For Mary Wedel, 81 Funeral services for Mary Wedel, 81 will be conducted Wednesday morning at 11 o’clock at Allen Mortuary. Interment will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Mrs. Wedel died Friday evening at a local rest home following an extended illness. A native of South Dakota, she also lived in North Dakota before moving to Oregon in 1938 and to Turlock in 1953.
