Posted on: Stanislaus County, Ca Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ca/Stanislaus/11199 Surname: BURR, SPEARS, FIERRO ------------------------- I am looking for two brothers who owned their own trucking company and shop in the early 1960s. One brother met a lady named LILLY MAY (BURR) SPEARS, who worked as a waitress in the CLOVIS CAFE, just north of Fresno. We were told (in 1966), by the other brother, that they had married and relocated to the Bakersfield, Kern County area. I do not remember these brothers names, may possibly have been FIERRO. Am in hopes that perhaps someone remembers them, and remembers Lilly May. If you have any information, please Email me at: JDWafford@aol.com

Posted on: Stanislaus County, Ca Query Forum Reply Here: http://cgi.rootsweb.com/~genbbs/genbbs.cgi/USA/Ca/Stanislaus/11194 Surname: Rogers, DeLong, Robinson ------------------------- I am looking for information about my gg grandfather Jasper Newton Rogers. b. March 21, 1839 in Tennesee and married a Nancy Jane Elizabeth Robinson. She died july 11, 1924 in Alturas California. It was told by family that Jasper Newton died in Modesto California in Stanislaus County. He died sometime after his child was born in 1882. Jasper's parents might also be buried in this area as they moved as a family and I have a picture of the homestead. His parents were G.W. Rogers died Dec. 28, 1875. I believe the G. stands for George and W. stands for William as these two names occur within the family line. Jasper's mother is Nancy L. ? I believe her last name is either McGee or Newton as again these two names occur often in their children and their grandchildren, etc. I found much of the family buried in Modoc County, however, the above 3 I can not locate. Any information which could help me in my search would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
