The Modesto Bee is on film at the Stanislaus county library - stopping by the Modesto Bee won't work, they will just send you to the library - visit the newspaper desk at the library on 16th & K - you can also order in the Oakdale paper on film and see if an obit was published there....or if out of town, order it on loan thru interlibrary loan with your local library - the film is also at the CA room of the state library in Sacrmento - ask your local reference librarian for details. You also can transcribe the death certificate without purchasing it if you happen to come to town.... Ross, son of James Taylor Ross, died in Denair, California, some time after 1950? He was mentioned in his brother, Benjamin Franklin Ross's, obituary published in an Artesia, NM, newspaper as living in "Denier, CA", in October, 1950. The obituary read, "The sister and three of the brothers reside in Artesia, New Mexico. They are Mrs. John A. Vines and William H. Ross, James T. Ross, Jr., and Aaron Ross. Other brothers are Samuel J. Ross, Denier (Denair, Stanislaus Co., CA?), CA, and Leonard Leslie Ross of Deming, NM. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
