Blaine, 79, who died in a local hospital this morning following a lingering illness. A native of Kansas, Mr. Blaine moved to Delhi in 1926 and had lived in Newman since 1946 until coming to Turlock a month ago. Hello, everyone. I am new to this list and am researching the James VERNOR and Annie LANGLEY family. Their daughter, Effie Vernor (married to Albert Morgan ca. 1914) died in 1919 leaving only one child who was only 2 at the time. Effie is my ggrandmother, and not much is known about her. I am trying to locate descendants of her siblings who I believe may know something about Effie or the Vernor family. Two of her brothers, along with her father, moved to CA in the 1930's. One was Zenas Embrey Vernor, b. 1906 in AR, m. Ernestine Barnhill, lived in Stanislaus and Monterey counties, and had one child, Robert Vernor. The other brother was James Stanley Vernor who was born in the early 1900's in MO, I believe. He also lived and died in Stanislaus county. Thanks for any help or suggestions you might have for me! I am searching for any descendants of my g-g-uncles Zenas Embrey Vernor and James Stanley Vernor. Their sister, Effie Vernor (married Albert Morgan) is my ggrandmother.
