The deceased was Merlyn Jay Forbush and he died in Stanislaus County on 5/22/65. I am told that he died seven days after the accident. I am interested in getting the details of the accident, what hospital he died in and where he is buried. I have been told that the police report probably no longer exists so perhaps a newspaper aricle would help with the details. Thank you

    1. [CASTANIS] San Joaquin County Lookups
    2. Margie Campbell
    3. Hi all, Marge Campbell here. I will be starting Delta College in Stockton next week, so will be going into Stockton daily. If you are willing to be patient, can try for death certificate lookups for you. Please let me know if you want an actual copy of the certified certificate.. the transcriptions are free (all hand written), but the certified copies have gone up from 10.00.. I think I paid 13.00 for the last one I got. I can also do obits, but again, allow me time (week or so), as I have to make the time to do this. And one other thing... Please keep these requests to YOUR or FREE (don't charge someone for the info I find) help you are providing to others. I volunteer my time at no charge, not fair to charge others for what I provide for free. NOTE: I do provide information to the SJGS, they may charge for the obits.. not sure what they charge, but I don't look often. (it's my donation to the society). Marge

    3. Hi, I am the one who requested the obit and DCT for Fred Lowell Van Winkle. He was my uncle by marriage - his first wife, Adelaide Holloway died when I was just a baby in 1953 and I really don't know much about the family. The obit confirmed a few names that my family provided. Sorry, I can't be of much help aside from photos, a photo of his headstone, marriage license between he and my aunt, oh and what the great volunteers provided for me. DCT lists his father as George Van Winkle - no birth location and mother as Lorena Baldwin - no birth location. Uncle Fred was born in Colorado. If you wish to take this off list, email me at queeny@iname.com Wendy > > > Subject: [CASTANIS] Re: Fred Lowell VanWinkle DC & Obit 1969 > Date: 3 Jan 2002 03:49:22 -0700 > From: mszvanw@ktc.com > To: CASTANIS-L@rootsweb.com > > This is a Message Board Post that is gatewayed to this mailing list. > > Surnames: VanWinkle; Hardt; Gerdes;Buford; Hays; Jones; Harris; Gooden; Cameron > Classification: Query > > Message Board URL: > > http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/an/ZW.2ADI/1630.1 > > Message Board Post: > > Is this Fred Lowell VanWinkle related to Jesse Ben Newton VanWinkle of Karnes City, TX , or his father Andrew Jackson VanWinkle?

About 16 years ago Bill Hoobyar was my sixth grade teacher (and my FAVORITE teacher, I might add). Bill retired several years ago but is still around town. I also went to high school with a couple of his nephews, Arby and ?? can't remember Arby's brother's name. As for the Benjamin's, I went to high school with jeremy Benjamin and think that family is still around but don't know them at all. I could try to find out more for you on the Hoobyar family from my parents. What info are you looking for? Colleen Carkeet
