Modesto Bee, The (CA) - May 27, 1993 Aug. 25, 1918 --_May 25, 1993 Gene Garrity, 74, of Modesto died Tuesday at his home. Mr. Garrity was a native of San Francisco. He lived in Modesto 15 years. He was an inspector for Southern Pacific Railroad for 43 years. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Garrity of Modesto; children, Walt Garrity of Riverbank and Jane Touchatt of Oakdale; and seven grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Lakewood Memorial Park, Hughson. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Lakewood Funeral Home.
