I've "rescued" an old photograph of Jud THATCHER which was taken at the A. M. Inturff Studio in Hutchinson, Kansas. The photograph appears to have been taken in the 1880's or 1890's with Jud appearing to be in his teens or 20's at the time. In addition to his name, someone has written "Uncle Jud" and "My Mother's Brother" on the back of the photograph. Based on limited research I was able to locate the following census information regarding Jud and his family: 1870 census of Normal Township, IL: John THATCHER, age 41, a Blacksmith, born Canada Margaret THATCHER, age 35, Keeps House, born Canada Mary THATCHER, age 17, born Canada Rosa THATCHER, age 16, born Canada Emma THATCHER, age 13, born Canada Delia THATCHER, age 11, born IL Judson THATCHER, age 5, born IL 1880 census of Grove, KS: John B.
