Survivors include a sister-in-law, Catherine Spencer and two nieces, Flora Peters and Murine Hahn, all of Washington. The Allen Mortuary was in charge of arrangements. Spencer Lillie M. Spencer, a resident of the Turlock area for the past 40 years, died on Saturday at a local hospital after an extended illness. She was 82. She had lived in Los Angeles before coming to this area in 1933 and was a native of Oklahoma. She is survived by her widower, Ozra Spencer of Turlock. Lavonna, Here it is... Alma Modesto Bee September 7, 2006 March 22, 1929 -Aug. 25, 2006 Pauline Ruby Walker, 77, of Mo-desto died Aug. 25 at Memorial Medical Center. Mrs. Walker was a native of Lexington, Okla., and lived in Modesto 68 years. She worked as a real estate broker and previously was a bookkeeper. She was a member of the Turtle Club, and enjoyed bowling and collecting turtles. She is survived by her husband, Russ Earl Walker; children, Barbara Cecil, James Roark and Paul Walker, all of Modesto, Peggy Ross and Sandy Mendes, both of San Jose, and Patrick Walker of Santee; and numerous grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one sister. No services. Inurnment at Ceres Memorial Park. Cunningham's Affordable Burial and Cremation in charge of arrangements. Mr. Blomquist was a native of Chicago. He had lived in Turlock since 1933 and had lived in the area since 1912. He grew up on a small farm in the Irwin community and attended school in nearby Hilmar. He was a truck driver, delivering petroleum products to farmers. He worked for Goodrich Oil Co. and then Standard Oil of California. He also worked for the Grange Co. He is survived by his wife, Mary Margaret Blomquist of Turlock; children, Earl Blomquist of Trinity and Kenneth Blomquist of Turlock; stepchildren, Aaron Abbott of Livermore and Charlene Card of Kelseyville; and three grandchildren. A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park. Visitation will be from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and from 8 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at Allen Mortuary.

Blomquist, a native of Sweden, passed away at a local hospital early this morning, February 8, following an extended illness. She was aged 63 years at the time of passing. Mrs. Blomquist came to the United States 40 years ago and located in Chicago, Illinois. After remaining there 20 years she came to California and took up her residence in the Turlock district 20 years ago. She lived in the Hilmar Colony until a year and one half ago, since that time making her home in Turlock. She was an active member of the Hilmar Mission church for many years. Her husband, Axel Blomquist, preceded her in May 1930. There remain to mourn her passing, two sons, Hanford Blomquist, and Stanley Robert Blomquist, both of Turlock and two grandchildren. Funeral services will take place from the Wm. O’Hara Funeral Home Friday afternoon, Feb. 10, at 2:00 o’clock with the Rev. C. J. Ledin, pastor of the Hilmar Mission Church, officiating.
