She located in the 1870 census Medford, Steele Co.,MN CASE/CASS Hyle CASE age 60 b Canada (Jehiel) Sarah CASE 50, b New York (Dix/Dick) George CASE 14 b Wisc Susan CASE 11 b Wisc This seems to fit my George CASS who was born in Sparta Wisc Nov 5 1855. Married Edith E JEFFREY Jul 28 1882 in Medford, Steele Co,MN or Fordville, Meaford twp., Walsh Co., ND. His wife Edith is buried in the Oak Creek cemetery at Fordville. George came to what was then the North West Territories, Canada in 1905 after Edith's death. Does anyone have a census index for Wisc. in 1860??
