I have heard that story relating to my line. The were staunch Catholics and left Germany during the Lutheran Reformation. I previously posted my line. I don't have anything earlier than John Cass whose children all used the name Cast. This information came from a page I found one time on the internet and I haven't been able to confirm it or relocate the page.
