My first and only Casper that I have been able to find any info on is my grandfather Fred J. Casper who immigrated to the US abt.1897. 1900 census for Texas,indicated he was from Switzerland and was 16 yrs.old at time of immigration. No other known family members came with him. In 1900 he was living in Waller Co., Texas working as railroad section hand,but died in Midfield, Matagorda Co., TX. still working for ??railroad. in 1918 at age 38(?)from world wide influenza epidemic. Wife, Annie (ISAAC), also an immigrant, from Canada, died in 1914,in her mid 30's, cause unknown. They left 6 daughters, all very young. The few still living are in late 80's-early 90's and memories are few. Any help or information regarding this family would be greatly appreciated it. Thanks Claudia Tarlyn
