My husbands ancestor, Peter Casper came from Hamburg to Virginia. He was born in 1727 in Hamburg and died in Culpeper Virginia about 1817. His wife Mary Huckleberry was born abt 1729 in Germany and died about 1818 in Culpeper Virginia. I am not sure if they were married in Germany or in Virginia. They had 5 children that I know of: Mary (Polly), Ann, Catherine, William and Elizabeth. They were all born in Virginia. Most of the information I have has come from others and is not verified by me.
