Although, this area was usually described as either Mendocino Township, Sonoma, CA or Healdsburg, I have also seen "Ocean" on one ancestry record. The family did not move. Sometimes it is helpful to check who else is listed on the item. I might have thought my family moved but their neighbors were listed the same way for an item.
