I have traced us back to Virginia, then moving to Kentucky, then moving to Indiana (where I am) and then my great, great grandfather left Indiana to go to Oregon and now you're connecting us to California. I think that all of the Doss's are going to eventually connect here in the USA. I know some Doss's owned slaves in Kentucky, so I'm guessing that's why there are some African American Doss's. I've recently been trying to figure out who came here from Germany and started all of us. I've been on www.teldir.com looking at Doss's in Germany and recently decided to write to some of them.
