The 1910 census gives this info: California, Sonoma county, Salt Point twp, page 148B, visit 10 Nordmeyer, John, head, male, white, 67, single, born MO, parents born Germany, can read and write, woodsman, tie maker I believe this is the same guy from 1900: WA, Thurston Co., Yelm pct, page 136B Nordmeyer, John boarder, b. Nov 1842 57 single, b. MO, parents born Germany, saw mill man The California death index gives just this info: Nordmeyer, John age 74 died Napa county; 7/13/1917 record 24713. Hope this helps. Jocelynn PS, two researchers have posted ancestry world trees that include this John Nordmeyer. They are Melissa Wilson and Marvin Knock. Have a John Nordmeyer born Nov 1841[have seen 1843] in Chariton Co., MO, served during the Civil War as a Pvt. in the 46th Infnatry from MO. On the 1880 and 1900 Census for Thurston Co., WA and he was shown to have bought land in Sonoma in 1911. There is a John Nordmeyer buried in the Veterans Memorial Grove Cemetery in Napa Co., CA 13 July 1917.
