Sarah Margaret Lagrone born September 28,1868 in Carroll County, Mississippi, the daughter of James Latner Lagrone and Margaret “Maggie” Minyard. She was married on January 19,1888 to Joseph Fields Herod/Herrod, born October 9,1866 at Colia, Carroll County, the son of James Tucker Herod and Sarah Elizabeth Henry and a brother of Sarah Etta Herod. They moved to White County, Arkansas before 1902 and Joseph F. Herrod (age 43) was listed on the 1910 White County, Arkansas census living in the Union Township. Joseph died March 13,1936 and Sarah died December 12,1951. Both are buried in the Beebe Cemetery in Beebe, White County, Arkansas. Some of their children also moved to Arkansas and others to California where their Social Security cards were issued. Children: [1] James Lagrone Herod born November 7,1888 and died January 16,1933. He was listed on the 1900 Ashley County, Arkansas census. He may have been married to Evey M. Parish, born 1895 and died 1929 and was buried in the Beebe Cemetery. [2] Mary Etta Herod born February 23,1890 and died July 20,1900. [3] Joseph Fields “Bob” Herod, Jr. born January 22,1892 and died May 15,1980. He married Clara Eudora Price, born December 24,1913 in Arkansas and died February 4,1976. He moved from Mississippi to White County, Arkansas. Both were residents of Ward, Lonoke County, Arkansas at the time of their deaths. Both are buried in the Beebe Cemetery. [4] Archie F. Herod born February 11,1894 and died March 28,1912 and was buried in the Beebe Cemetery. [5] Henry Waterson Herrod born January 4,1896 and died October 4,1986 and married Ella ??, born March 26,1900 and died August 10,1977. Both were residents of Beebe, White County, Arkansas at the time of their deaths. Both are buried in the Beebe Cemetery. [6] Thomas Edward Herrod born December 18,1897 and died December 1984 and married Pearl M. ??, born February 15,1910 and died June 7,2000. Both were residents of Beebe, White County, Arkansas at the time of their deaths. Both are buried in the Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Beebe, Arkansas. [7] Lawrence Ward Herod born January 30,1900 (twin) and died July 2?,1900. [8] Sarah Elizabeth Herod born January 30,1900 (twin) and died July 28,1900. [9] Fred Herrod born November 17,1902 in Arkansas and died June 4,1988. He was listed on the 1920 White County, Arkansas census and on the 1930 Contra Costa County, California census. He married Claudia ??, born May 18,1905 and died July 1,2000. Both were residents of St. Helena, Napa County, California at the time of their deaths. [10] Sam Wallin Herrod born December 31,1905 in Arkansas and died March 30,1992. He was listed on the 1930 White County, Arkansas census. He was married in San Francisco, San Francisco County, California on July 1,1950 to Anne Minnis Isler, born November 17,1915/1916 in New York and died in July 1994, the daughter of Charles Louis Isler and Rebecca Kornblith. Both were residents of Richmond, Contra Costa County, California at time of death. [11] Lucius Brown Herrod born November 17,1907 in Arkansas and died September 4,1989 and was married to Albena Julia ??, born August 27,1911 in Colorado and died January 22,1989. He was listed on the 1930 Geary County, Kansas census. Both were residents of Healdsburg, Sonoma County, California at their deaths. [12] William Howard Herrod born February 6,1912 in Arkansas and died April 7,2002 while a resident of Biloxi, Harrison County, Mississippi. He enlisted in the Army in World War II from White County, Arkansas.
