Surnames: Meissner, Peterson, Ryan Classification: Query Message Board URL: http://boards.ancestry.com/mbexec/msg/rw/YW.2ADI/4240 Message Board Post: Wilhelmina (1834-1926) was a sister of Civil War vet George Meissner who lived at Petaluma 1903-1924: see http://meiszen.net/family/tree/manly/george/heinrich.htm#George%20Sep%202006 = She came from Florida to San Francisco in 1854 with the Ryan family, married one of their sons, had a child named Joseph Ryan - see 1860 census at SF CA. A few years later she married Charles John Peterson (1823-1903); 1870 census shows Joseph H Peterson age 13. They lived on a farm near Petaluma and later moved to Bodega Ave. = Charles and Wilhelmina had 4 more children: Wilhelmina (1864-1912)), Dorathea (1865-1931), Annie (b 1871), and Charles Frederick (1875-1966). Dora and probably Wilhelmina were never married. I do not know what happened to Joseph or Annie. = Charles Frederick had a son named Frederick (1915-2002) who lived at Santa Rosa until shortly before he died at Clearlake Oaks in Lake Co. = I would like very much to contact any living descendants of Wilhelmina, or anybody who has information about the family.
