Ok, I went to the Rootsweb Sonoma message board and couldn't reply without registering. So I registered, and then left my reply directly to Judi's original posting on the Sonoma message board. But if you click on my "name", one that I thought was just a silly idea years ago when I first subscribed to Ancestry, it says I chose to remain anonymous. Actually that choice was never offered to me. I was given the choice to create a Public profile, but it didn't ask it I wanted my email to be accessible. So I went back to the public profile and just typed my email address into the text box where I could also give all sorts of fascinating details about me and my research, etc. And that seemed to do it. Now when you click on Jababe, up pops my email address. I hope that it works for now on. -----Original Message----- From: [email protected] [mailto:[email protected]] On Behalf Of MeLani Sent: Sunday, January 07, 2007 9:24 AM To: [email protected] Subject: [CASONOMA] dryden and message bd vs mailing list Hi Jocelynn, The following is an observation.... please someone let me know if this is incorrect; Judi (the original requester) posted her request to the message board (and those posts are then also sent to the mailing list). But when those of us on the mailing list want to reply, it appears that we have to log into the message boards and reply there in order for the original author to see them or know about them. In other words, your generous reply with all the data shows up on the mailing list, but not on the message board. I am understanding how this works correctly?? I have been looking for replies I sent and noticed that those on the message board never saw them.
