The last reference is in the 1967 PCD, lists his wife as Lois L. and says he lived at 41 Myrtle Court. The PCD's list him as employed at Sam's Rendezvous, a bar located at 182 Petaluma Boulevard North. The bar has been gone for many years and the owners have been deceased for many years. WE do not have any leads to anyone who may have known him." This is the email that I got from the Petaluma Historical Society.... Does anyone have any recollection of any of these buildings or Sam's Rendezvous. The Society has been a GREAT help with just this info...it, at least, gives me something to work off of. My Dad, Kenneth Cecil Burns, worked as a card-dealer/"restaurant worker" for years at Sam's. I would love a pic of it if possible - and any info that ANYONE has on it. Thanks! I have not been able to find information that connects Daniel and Sarah Hess Huntsinger to our Dittemore family. I did find a Daniel and Sarah Hess on World Connect. Daniel was born in North Carolina and he and Sarah had 12 children. So, I am stymied concerning the relationship between the Huntsingers' and our family. I am really anxious to hear from you and especially anxious to hear if the Bible has all the children of Thomas and Elizabeth listed. I want to document the death of Thomas and Elizabeth as well and don't know what to call the Bible or list who it belonged to. Please don't be impatient with me - I have waited over 25 years to find Rebecca Dittemore Moser. In doing so, I have accumulated a lot of information and I am more than willing to share with you. Hello List, Were any of you a neighbor or co-worker of Mary "Helen" Cloud in Sonoma or Vallejo, California? She lived at 452 Claudia St. in Sonoma, CA and 202 Alameda St. in Vallejo, CA. I am trying to locate ones who might have known about her life after she left Louisiana. Two neighbors were Frank and Odessa Greengrass, who are now deceased. In Louisiana, she was known as Mary. After she left home in 1938, she was known as Helen. Mary Helen Cloud was born Nov. 21, 1906 OR June 6, 1907 to Melissa Lucretia Rushing and Reuben Ray Cloud in Ashland, Natchitoches Parish, Louisiana. She had one brother, Henry Cloud, and three sisters, Ermine, Emile and M. L. Cloud. She graduated from college at Northwestern in Natchitoches, Natchitoches Parish, LA. Mary Helen died May 2, 1990 in Vallejo, CA of lung cancer. Her ashes were scattered near the Golden Gate Bridge in San Franciso, CA. Any help will be greatly appreciated. It is a brick wall for sure! I am sitting her screaming with joy. I can't believe that I have finally found the dates on Thomas and Elizabeth. Can you give me the source for the dates? I have been working hard and have identified seven of the children and have lots of information on their children. The following are the Dittemore children that I have information on: Elizabeth "Eliza" b. 1813 TN and d. 1851 in MO; *Rebecca Dittemore; John Wallace Dittemore b. 1819 IN d. 1891 WA; William N b. 1822 IN d. 1890 CA.; Theodore; b. 1823 IN d. 1912 ID; Lutitia; b. 1830 IN d. 1914 CA; Margaret b.IN 1832 d. abt 1864 CA. Can we share information on Lutitia and her husbands and children? I have found lots of information on her as you probably have as well. I several newspaper articles that you might be interested in. Rebecca Dittemore my g.g.g.grandmother was born about 1815 in Owen County, IN and d. around 1853 in MO or possibly Texas. She married first Alexander Moser and second Josiah Baker. Rebecca and Alexander had three children: Thomas R., William and Mary Moser. She had four daughters with Josiah: Sarah Ellen, Margaret E, Letitia and Emily Jane. I did discover the Beeson Cemetery and of course I didn't find any Dittemores' I have not seen the name Huntsinger. However, I do have lots of information on Thomas Dittemore and Elizabeth Burger and it is certainly possible that they are in the info I have gathered. I will go through my Dittemore folder and hope they show up. Thomas came from a large family at least 10 children. I am going to put a feeler out to a man I have been working with who has really helped me. He has good documented information. I just can't believe that I have received this email. I lived in Healdsburg and attended Junior High and two years of High School. I also lived in Cloverdale and Santa Rosa until I moved to Idaho in 1966. All my children were born in Healdsburg. Please email me back. I am more than willing to send you all that I have (full dates, documentation and that good stuff). I will give it all I have to find the connection that Thomas and Elizabeth shared with the Huntsinger family. Thank you so much. You have made my day!!!! Thomas Dittemore born August 22, 1792 died August 28, 1866 Elizabeth Dittemore born Oct 22' 1792 died Oct 18, 1875 They had eight children. Luticia born in 1829 married Elisha Moore. They had seven children. Their Daughter, Elizabeth Helen Moore married Lycurgus McPherson, my great grandfather. Lycurgus and Lizzie had thirteen children and took in the children of Lycurgus' brother as well. The Dittemore property was close to Lytton springs. There is a pioneer cemetery close to that but it is now on private property and they don't list any Dittemores on the names that they have in that cemetery. Many of the markers in the old cemeteries were made of wood and have disentegrated over the years. There are some of the Moores buried in Beeson Cemetery in Alexander Valley. It is also possible that there were Dittemores there too but if they had wooden markers the fire that went through there in the 60's burned them off. Many years ago I met a woman named Dittemore who lived in Calistoga. I have tried to locate that family since then without any luck. Do you know how the Dittemores are conected with a family named Huntsinger? Daniel and Sarah Hess Huntsinger. They were contemporary with Thomas and Elizabeth Dittemore.
